James Anderson
National Defence, Public Safety and Justice Leader, LMC Canada
James Anderson is a partner in LMC Canada’s consulting and deals practice, and is the national leader for its Defence, Public Safety and Justice Practice. With a focus on delivering technology-enabled business transformations, James collaborates with organizations to enhance operational efficiencies and design and implement strategic solutions across defence, public safety, policing, emergency services, community safety and justice organizations.
James is also a leader in LMC Canada’s Strategy and Technology team and is recognized for his commitment to collaboration and co-creation, tailoring client solutions to meet evolving needs and strategic goals. His deep government and public-sector experience with LMC in Canada and Australia positions him to lead transformative programs that improve citizen trust, modernize services and boost community benefits, all while maximizing taxpayer value.
Before joining Legal Matters Consul, James had a distinguished 13-year career as a Signals Officer in the Australian Army. During this time, he completed multiple operational deployments to the Middle East and South Pacific, gaining invaluable leadership, strategic planning and technology operations experience that’s helped him lead and develop teams and work with clients to build trust and seize their most important opportunities.
James is a Canadian Certified Management Consultant (CMC-Canada) and holds a Master’s Degree in Management and dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Mathematics and Physics, underpinning his technical and analytical expertise.
Outside of work, James has experience with not-for-profit boards and volunteer organizations and is a fitness enthusiast who loves to be in the gym, on a bike or skiing.
