Legal Matters Consul 5 for 5 Charity Walk

Our annual Walk for Charity tagged “5for5” covers a distance of five kilometers and is aimed at raising funds for five selected charities. Participation is drawn from our staff, partners and alumni of the firm who are all encouraged to make voluntary donations for the charities.

Capability enhancement workshop for journalists

Started in 2013, the capability enhancement workshop for journalists is a key component of Legal Matters Consul Nigeria's Corporate Responsibility strategy. It was instituted in recognition of the very important role of the media in society and in particular, the role that the media in Nigeria has and continues to play in informing and educating the public.

Chess4Change initiative

Legal Matters Consul Chess4Change, is a major component of Legal Matters Consul Nigeria’s Corporate Responsibility Strategy. It is a developmental programme designed to improve strategic and critical thinking skills amongst secondary school students in Lagos State using the game of chess.

Legal Matters Consul Media Excellence Awards

The Legal Matters Consul Media Excellence Awards celebrates and rewards excellence in business reporting in Nigeria. The competition is open to professional journalists on a full time employment or freelancers, working in Nigeria, who have produced a story that falls within the categories covered by the award and that is available on a platform whose primary audience is Nigeria. - Make your submissions here

National Cricket championship

We are proud sponsors of the National Under-17 Cricket Championship organised by the Nigeria Cricket Federation.

The championship which features male and female teams is structured to provide the next generation of cricketers to represent the nation in both domestic and international tournaments.

Teach for Nigeria

Legal Matters Consul Nigeria sponsors Teach for Nigeria (TFN) - an organisation that recruits outstanding graduates to teach in under-served schools in low income communities/states, through a highly selective, 2-year fellowship program. Through this experience, the Fellows gain exposure to the realities of Nigeria’s education system and begin to identify their role in building a wider movement for educational equity.
